Having spent an unfortunate amount of time in hospitals and rehab centers over the years with various family members, this is hands down, one of the worst places I've ever had the misfortune of being associated with. My father in law was admitted here two months ago and within 24hrs it became clear that they aren't equipped to take care of a person that needs more than just physical rehab. ie. basic nursing care for wound checks as well as diabetes monitoring. The nursing staff was very slow to respond to the call button and didn't seem to care at all that his blood sugar levels were insanely high because they had failed to following his documented medication schedule accordingly. I would avoid this place at all cost, unless you hate the person you're admitting there. If that's the case, then this is the perfect home for your "loved" one.
Thanks to everyone at Warm Springs for helping me get my balance and walk again!!!i. I love you all!
DO NOT TAKE ANYONE HERE, my neighbor was there after surgery and they had no clue what to do. They refused to do what the Dr's orders were from surgery as far as cleaning and keeping the area dry, never gave her her normal meds that were on the list on her orders. My friend said no one knew how to take care of her even the Drs. there. She is a diabetic and was never tested daily as orders. The food was horrible and half raw and cooked. If you love your family, do not let them stay here to recover.
Beware all they care about is collecting a check!!! We put my mom in this facility after she experienced seizures. My mother was uncomfortable with one of the aides when I brought her concerns to the lead nurse attention she asked if my mothers memory was credible because she couldn't remember my major in college???? I graduated in 2003 what does that have to do with what happened earlier that day??? My mother complained several times of her swollen right arm and legs to both doctors and nurses and nothing was done. She complained of feeling strange and they took her blood pressure and said everything is normal you are fine. Then we were told there was transitional assistance but all we received after we said we were no going to use their facilities for out patient rehab was a list of prescriptions. The list stated that should would need assistance at home, but no training was given to those that would be home with her on how to properly assist. Also, no list of service providers were given. We were unable to fill her prescriptions for the anti-seizure meds due to the local pharmacies being out of stock. We called Warm Springs and were told that she was no longer in the system. So here we are 4 hours after discharge in the ER for the swollen right arm/leg and for her to get the prescribed medication. I only gave 1 star because I had too!
Stay away from this place at all costs. Sent my father home from back surgery before he was able to safely walk using a walker. He fell once and would have fallen 5 other times if not someone guiding him. The failed to take out staples after surgery and is at risk of developing an infection. They also discharged him with a kidney infection, gave us a prescription but did not notate in their medical files to make themselves look better. Please keep your loved ones away from this place at all costs. There are plenty of other facilities in central Texas that will provide better care.
